I have  been practicing yoga for over 40 years, and I am a 500-hour certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher. Off the mat, I am a performing songwriter and recording artist, a leader of devotional and ecstatic chant, and an ordained Interfaith Minister. 

I've always been a teacher of one kind or another--I've taught elementary and preschool, and I hold a Master’s Degree in Education. I've led transformational workshops in spirituality and music at retreat centers and faith communities, and I've been on faculty at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. In addition to leading live-music yoga classes and workshops at venues across the US, I regularly lead kirtan and interfaith devotional chanting with my band, ONE LOVE.

In 2012 I started Yoganonymous, a program I created for recovering addicts, with the help of a grant awarded by the Teaching For Diversity program at Kripalu Center. This year-long series of classes served those in the 12-step recovery community in Ithaca, NY.

I'm also a certified instructor of Let Your Yoga Dance  ®, a chakra-based fusion of yoga and expressive movement.

As a yoga teacher, I love weaving together my gifts as a motivational speaker, teacher, troubadour, and yogini to create a unique offering that includes chanting and song, poetry, enlivening movement and breath work, guided meditation, self-reflection, and deep relaxation. I approach yoga practice as a form of prayer,  a vehicle for opening to a felt sense of the sacred.
